Or, At Clerkenwell's Italian Festival

Every year, on a July Sunday, London's Clerkenwell hosts the biggest and oldest traditional Italian festival. Here are some photos from this year's occasion

The Festa is similar to those Italians recognise from their cities or villages, usually held around August, and consisting of a religious procession, often marking a local patron saint and including lots of Viva Maria chanting, followed by music, drinking and eating.

The Clerkenwell Festa begins with the "Procession of Our Lady of Mount Carmel" which involves a number of floats and lost of dressing up.
